Photo tips
Readable cards in the photo beat clever prompts. These tips apply to every deck workflow.
Shoot from directly overhead
Camera straight above the layout. Angled shots shrink far-edge cards and confuse row structure.
Flat surface, even light
Desk or table in natural light works. Avoid harsh side sun — shadows between cards make edges hard to read.
No glare
Glossy card stock can blow out under ceiling lights. Shift angle or diffuse the light if you see hot spots.
All cards fully in frame
Clipped cards at the edges are ambiguous. Step back or tighten the layout.
Space between rows
Row gaps signal section breaks. Cards in the same row can touch; keep row separation consistent.
Either side of the card
Lo-fi or hi-fi faces both work. Mix freely — output stays in the wireframe system.
Watch for shadows
Your hand, phone, or a lamp across the layout can hide a card ID.
Layout tips
Small layout choices on the table become section structure in the wireframe.
- Arrow cards flanking content in a row → carousel. A row without arrows → column grid.
- One card on top → full-width hero, not a narrow strip.
- Mix card types in a row → multi-column section (e.g. headline + image).
